Public transit is a vital part of every community, helping foster stronger neighborhood connections, but these canopies prove that foundational elements can still bring whimsy. Part of their unique design is that the structure is almost entirely exposed. The canopies slope toward the middle creating wing-like shapes when viewed in elevation.

Solution: Our work required detailing and coordination with the architect to create that tapered effect. It also required careful alignment of an internal center gutter to prevent conflicts with the supporting steel. To increase natural light to patrons below, we worked to design a portion of curved translucent roof down the spine of the structure.
